This is more than a colouring book, this is a teaching manual designed to help adults get children off to the right start in golf.
It has been designed by elite Australian golf instructor Sandy Jamieson, who has taught some of Australia's best players, leading amateurs, beginners as well as his own children how to play golf.
In the book your child can learn all he or she needs to know about the basics of the game through the colourful adventures of Tim and Kate.
In a game where technique is so important, the best coaches of children are the ones who focus on the things they do well, only adding small amounts of new information each lesson.

Please note that this is a downloadable e-Book and not a physical product. Once you have downloaded it you can re-visit your account and download it for free to use again and again. Please also bear in mind that this is an electronic version of a book that was only in print in Australia, as such some the pages are double page spreads and you may want to stick them together for your child.
Teach Your Child How to Play Golf
As parents and coaches we must be aware that children learn as much from their mistakes as they do from what we teach them. So rather than getting stuck on trying to fix the things that go wrong, this colouring book will allow you to progress working on the fundamentals of golf one at a time.
Each page in the book is actually a lesson with a picture for the child to mimic, with some teaching information at the top to assist you in helping them, and a fun story with a message at the bottom for the child.
After each lesson the picture should be coloured in to visually reinforce the new skill. It is best also to have practice sessions working on the same skill before moving on to the next lesson, ensuring slow but permanent improvement.
This program is essentially designed to be fun and technically sound, inspiring children, both boys and girls, to want to play golf. Once your child has completed the book and is regularly hitting golf balls, any further assistance should be sought from a Professional golf coach.
The equipment a child needs for this program is readily available and ranges from specially modified clubs to plastic clubs and balls. At first a five or six iron and putter are adequate to participate in this program however you may like to add a lofted wood and wedge as your child progresses.
If specially designed junior clubs are too expensive the golf professional at your local golf course can cut down a full size second hand club to the right length. It is however, very important that the golf club is not too long and heavy making it virtually impossible to develop a correct golf swing technique.
Establishing some common sense safety rules as soon as your child has their new clubs is essential to help prevent injuries.
Most importantly, I hope you enjoy a lifetime of golf with the children you help using this colouring book.
