About Us
Dizzy Heights is a start-up publishing business currently specialising in sport, with a current focus on golf. In a nutshell, we've got some of Europe's leading golf coaches to do a series of bite sized video lessons and we plan to setup a great new interactive video network/community site and share them with the world for free! We’ve got plenty of creative ideas as to how we can develop a fantastic site that’s so different to anything out there - we just need a few more creative geniuses to come and have some fun with us building a business that will go where our imagination and our users’ wishes take us.
About You
We are looking for a creative, fun and entrepreneurial web developer to help us build a new site and to develop a business around our content and contacts in the golf market. We’re ideally looking for someone to work full-time on this project but would love to hear from anyone interested in participating on a part-time basis, especially if you are partial to the odd round or two of golf every now and then.
Experience and Skills
- Working knowledge of creating applications using the Brightcove player and API (or similar) is our top priority.
- Background in developing consumer facing websites.
- Extensive knowledge of Javascript and working with APIs; knowledge of Macromedia Flash 8 (or higher) and preferably ActionScript 2.
- General competence with web site hosting, development and deployment; and the creation and troubleshooting of HTML documents, with focus on embedding interactive content.
- Experience of working with common industry standard environments; creation and troubleshooting of XML documents.
- Use of StoryMaker software tools and Flex 2 would also be helpful.
This opportunity would be ideally suited to someone who is passionate about working on a series of appealing new projects where the emphasis will always be on doing something different, building something magnificent, having a lot of fun and making a few pounds along the way!
